No Child Left Behind
The No Child Left Behind Act was implemented in 2002 by President Bush. The goal of NCLB is to ensure the progress of students and use accountability as a way of measurement of this progress. Each school is expected to make Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) and has a goal number to reach to show this progress. The goal number is based on State test results.
